4/20 Events

Today, April 20 or 4/20 has special significance for marijuana users. As the story goes a group of high school students in northern CA would meet to smoke MJ after school. They began using the term 4/20 to refer to their after school activities. The term was picked up by the Grateful Dead band and the rest is history. Some radio stations for example play Bob Marley every day at 4:20 pm in recognition.
Is anyone aware of any special events or underground activities on your campus related to this day?

We put on a program at the University of Maine called the Healthy High 5K. It starts on 4/20 at 4:20pm each year. It has become a successful event with over 800 runners, volunteers, and spectators involved. We have student organizations run the water stands and hold course signs. We have a munchies table available for food and drink and many students, faculty and staff participate. Over the last three years, it has become a very successful event.
